Troy graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a BS in Health Information Management (2007) and subsequently an MS in Health Informatics (2010). Troy is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) as credentialed by the AHIMA.

Currently, Troy works for the US Department of Veterans Affairs’ Central Office as a specialist in Health Information Management. He has 12 years of past experience withing the VA as a Health Systems Specialist for Central Office, as Chief of Health Information Management for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, and as a Data Analyst. Troy recently served on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Health Information Management Association (CtHIMA), and is adjunct faculty in HIM for Herzing University. Outside of professional life, Troy enjoys hiking, camping and the outdoors.
