Amanda M. Walden, PhD, RHIA, CHDA, is a full-time faculty member in the Health Informatics and Information Management Program at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Her prior experience in acute care, physician practices, and behavioral health, brings real-world knowledge into the classroom. She completed her PhD in 2018 with a focus on health information privacy. She has served as a speaker on topics relevant to HIM and education at numerous events and has served at all levels including leadership positions at the regional and state levels.
