Lynn Ward, Ed.D, RHIA, CPHIMS, has served in various roles within the Health Information Management profession, ranging from acting as an HIM Director, working in quality improvement, teaching face-to-face courses at the community college level, teaching full time in an online HIM program, serving as the program director of a CAHIIM accredited online HIM program, and most recently working as the Associate Dean of the undergraduate and graduate degree HIM programs at Southern New Hampshire University.  Lynn completed her doctorate in education through Capella University in March 2018. 

As a volunteer on several AHIMA workgroups, Lynn lends her knowledge and experience to the HIM community as a whole. Currently, Lynn is a member of the AHIMA Council on Excellence in Education, Curricular workgroup.  Lynn is on the Board of Directors of NHHIMA, serving as a Nominating Committee member, as well as the NHHIMA Student Liaison. She is also a peer reviewer for Perspectives in Health Information Management. Certifications include the RHIA and CPHIMS, as well as Certified Online Instructor, (COI).
